How we are helping during the COVID-19 crisis:
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, he has ordered that all kindergarten through 12th grade schools close for three weeks until April 5th. We are working with the Kent, Ravenna and Barberton administration to ensure that the children we serve won’t go hungry by providing them Birdie Bags over the next three weeks.

About Us:
As little as $50 a year can feed one hungry child in northeast Ohio. The Ben Curtis Family Foundation is on a mission to alleviate childhood hunger in northeast Ohio. Every donation, whether financial or in-kind, helps us in our fight to end childhood hunger in our own communities.

A Birdie Bag contains food and a toiletry kit which is sent home with children in need weekly in Ravenna and over nine long weekends during the school year in Kent and Barberton.

It is vital for children to learn about good nutrition and have access to it. It’s not only a solid foundation for a child’s physical health, but for their mental health and academic potential.

It only takes one person to start making a difference. Join us in the fight to eradicate childhood hunger in Portage and Summit Counties!
